Take MTR to Tung Chung station. Then take bus 11 to Tai O and get off at Kwun Yam Temple. I don’t think it is open for public though. Walk along the road and after 50-70 meters turn left to another road that is closed for cars but has a gate. Keep walking along catch water canals. Not particularly exciting but an easy walk. Almost at the end you would see a road going up saying “Man Cheung Po Campsite” – this is the one. Start climbing!

At some point you would see a small path going left. Take it and keep walking, and you would discover Lung Tsai Ng Yuen. It was and still is a beautiful garden. No, you can not get inside but an excellent view is available from a small dam. Enjoy.

Afterwards follow the same path and at some point you would see an intersection with many choices. Pick any, you will not be disappointed regardless.

Today we chose the one that leads to the charming bridges over little streams.

Up the mountains again and – Tai O Viewing compass was waiting for us.

A sharp decent and a few minutes of an easy walk and we are at Tai O.
