We came to city just for 2 years and end up living here 4. Hong Kong – Amazing. Vibrant. Unique. So unusual. It will be always in my heart. I started missing it as soon as walk to the plane.

Hong Kong is truly amazing place. It has everything. City blocks with unbelievable density of people living there. And areas which could be mistaken for remote nation park at some country …
Hong Kong is full of beautiful street art, just walk and watch for it. Some are in tiny, dark streets, some are part of shop decor like this one .. At evening, city transforms into something amazing. It looks like giant movie set with you as main character living in it…
At evening on Victoria Peak. Due to travel restrictions – practically no outside visitors, just Hongkongers who are enjoying views of they magnificent cites. One of hidden Hong Kong’s gems – Wun Chuen Sin Koon Temple, which is not far from Fanling MTR station.
December is over and my new album is finished. You would find some street shots there… Big boats … And small ones … Black and white … And of course tons of nature shots from hikes …
Sharp Peak is located in the far east corner of Sai Kung East Park. It is not easy to get to. Not easy to hike there. Some people think it is the most dangerous mountain for hiking in HK and this does has some merit. You can start from Park Tam Au and a round
Morning. 4am … Eyes wide shut … Direct injection of coffee … Camera bag … Taxi … 1 hour vertical hike …Sunrise … It was unexpectedly cold and super windy. At least I had a nice windbreaker and it saved me. I think Kowloon peak is one of the easiest places to see best sunrises
Another month – another album. Here you will find hidden alleys of Mong Kok. Streets of Wan Chai and Yau Ma Tei. A little bit of flowers. And a lot of B&W shots.
Take MTR to Tung Chung station. Then take bus 11 to Tai O and get off at Kwun Yam Temple. I don’t think it is open for public though. Walk along the road and after 50-70 meters turn left to another road that is closed for cars but has a gate. Keep walking along catch
Friday I took a day off. Had a quick breakfast at Fairwood. It was simple but absolutely decent one. Took an early train to Tung Chung, then Bus 11 to Tai O. Got of at Fat Hwa Yuen. A hidden road will be on you right. According to the map, it would lead to a
Early Saturday morning. My mission, that I chose to accept, was traveling from Jordan, Kowloon to Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Starting from Xiqu … Walking down Canton road … Passing by 1881 Heritage … Arriving to the historic Clock Tower … As usual, the promenade was full of morning runners … Hopped on Wan Chai
I had a plan. A little bit crazy but still a plan. On Friday, after looking at clear skies I decided to load cameras, my windbreaker and some snacks into my backpack and went to Sai Kung. There I took a cab to High Island Reservoir East Dam, btw a driver wasn’t surprised! Right after
On your way to Sai Kung via Hiram’s Highway you may find Lions Nature Educational Center. As soon as you arrive there, right next to parking lot you will be greeted by small Arboretum. Truly magical place. If you come early in morning, you can witness how sun rays strike through trees and light them
Album is completed. Just one month from last one. May be I am taking too many photos? I do not care … I like it … Here are some …
Tsuen Wan is 25 min by MTR from Central. Exit B1. Walk 5 min and you will find Minibus 81. Take it and ride till its final stop. There you will find Yuen Yuen Institute which is part of a huge cluster of Buddhist temples. It is not that big but an interesting place with
Hong Kong Hotels … The Hotels … Real Five Star Hotels … They are not like in the rest of the world. The Murray is a perfect example. Located just behind Champion Tower and not that visible from tourists routes. Impeccable service? Yes, you can’t find it somewhere else. Exceptional food? Not a problem. There
I work in the office … I like to work there, people, atmosphere … I like going there … During my very first day, I almost lost my breath from astonishing views. Any window is like a view in a museum of modern art. Lippo Centre building above was designed by Paul Rudolph in Brutalism
No, I did not plan it. I did not want it. All what I was looking for was a simple 3 hours hike at Lam Tsuen with beautiful views of Shenzhen in a distance. Instead, I have gotten something else. When I just started, I noticed some smoke and smell of fire. As soon I
Skies are tricky in Hong Kong. Weather, clouds, everything changes so quickly. It is impossible to predict. Most of the times you can not even see sunsets, sunrises because everything is covered by dense clouds. But there is always a room for miracles. Today was a day. I saw something beautiful was coming. I grabbed
Sometimes I see Hong Kong as sort of “Swiss cheese” city. It has so many routes, paths, back alleys. You never know what is waiting for you up there. It may be charming huge murals. It may be unusual art pieces. Or you will see a restaurant employee taking a break. All I know it
B&W photos. Sometimes it is hard, sometimes it is easy. Colors? No Colors? I do not have an opinion. It depends. Depends on a subject. Situation. Light. On my mood, how I do see what is in front of me at this moment. I know only one thing – before I decide to make it
Coffee shops. All around world. Places where people do meet. Breakup. Having fun. Crying sometimes. These are wonderful places. %Arabica, small chain in Hong Kong. This one is located just across PMQ exceptional artistic place. I decided to grab cup of hand dripping liquid gold. It takes about 10 minutes to make. Waiting outside I
Just 30 min from center of one of the most fascinating megapolis on this planet. You can find absolute serenity. Beach. Promenade. Small but decent restaurants. Including German one with great beer and sausages. Just stroll over promenade and you will end up on ferry pier which will take you to Central in matter of
If you take MTR to Tsing Yi station and after bus NR330 (Exit C) and get off at very first stop. You will end up by entrance to Park Island estate. Actually big but beautiful and very quiet residence. Near will be a Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach. In just a 5 min walk, you
Yau Ma Tei, in end of 19 center it was just a small village name can be translated as “Oil-sesame field”. Now it is one of my favorite districts on Kowloon. Typical, true Hong Kong, full of charm and flavors. Where you can find practically anything Even chop blocks are for sale I can spend
Yes. Everybody who comes to HK goes there. It is a tourists place. No denying. But I love it. I do. Not at during day or evenings when it full of people. I love it at 6am. When early risers are doing their routine. When the rest of city is still asleep. So you can
It is interesting place. I never would imagine something like that in Hong Kong. You take MTR to Yuen Long and walk north. Away, from high rises and civilization. In 10 minutes you will arrive to small wooden pier, which seems like it was there for last hundred years. This tiny boat will take you
Not far from MTR University you can find Science Park. A place which is a little gem. It is a sort of a techno park for startups and alike. At the same time it has amazing architecture. Like Charles K. Kao Auditorium. Also you can find incredible Art pieces of modern art there. And then
