Just a 5-minute drive north of High Bridge, NJ you may find a little lake. Lake Solitude.

It was small but so charming. Small dam just adds a flavor to it.

It is especially lovely during Autumn, when all tries in peak of colors.

On other side, there are a Columbia Trail but you cannot see a lake from it, so you have drive here. Grab some snack and relax sitting on high ground observing a lake. Do even think to swim there 🙂
